Description: Clay Cliffs Natural Area is a wonderful hike on Leelanau Conservancy preserved land. It is short and easy to hike with views of two lakes: Lake Michigan and Lake Leelanau. While short, on this hike you’ll experience towering bluffs, enjoy two stunning panoramic lake views, and in the spring and early summer you will see abundant wildflowers. It is also a great trail for birding.
Please remember the Clay Bluffs are fragile and off limits; please appreciate the view at a safe distance.
It is a great hike for families.

Clay Cliffs Natural Area trail is open year-round and makes a good snowshoeing trek in the winter.
