DESCRIPTION:The Suttons Bay Art Festival takes place next to the beautiful Suttons Bay Marina Park on the first weekend of August. One hundred artists along with community groups\, a community library book sale\, food vendors and a children’s area make this the perfect place to spend an art-filled weekend at the beach. \nA committee of volunteers oversees the selection of visiting artists and the distribution of funds generated by the event. DESCRIPTION:Come show your support for the Grand Traverse Lighthouse by rocking either of the two race events… \nPirate Dash 5K run/walk: Start time = 9:15am – runners\, walkers\, strollers and dogs all welcome \nCaptain Woolsey 10-Miler: Start time = 8:30am – for the tough-arrr crowd \nBoth races begin at the Grand Traverse Lighthouse Gift Shop inside Leelanau State Park\, and are chip-timed by Race Result.
