SPRING A steady warm-up from cool to mild—average highs climb from the upper 30s into the low 60s (°F), with lows in the mid 20s to mid 40s.

SUMMER Pleasant and rarely sweltering—average highs during the day run about 69–75 (°F) with comfortable nights around the mid 50s to mid 60s.

FALL Crisp and colorful—average highs slide from upper 60s to mid 40s (°F) and lows from mid 50s to mid 30s.

WINTER Cold and snowy—with average highs in the low 30s (°F) and lows typically in the low 20s.

 

An interesting aspect of weather on the Leelanau Peninsula is the impact from Lake Michigan. This giant body of water has a moderating effect on temperatures; summer days are slightly cooler and winter days are slightly warmer as compared to more inland areas. Winters are still cold, though, and the lake can bring lots of snow and cloudy skies when cold air pushes down from Cananda.
